Combine Analysis \ Free Agency Preview

Okay, here I’m going to provide a list of all the players the Jets have interviewed (that I know of) at the combine, their test results, and their measurements. I will also give my approximation as to when each of these players will come off the board.

James Hardy – WR – Indiana University
Height: 6’6” Weight: 220 lbs. 40 times: Trial 1 – 4.5 Trial 2-4.52 Projected Round: 2

Joseph ‘Red’ Bryant – DT/NT – Texas A&M
Height: 6’5” Weight: 330 lbs. 40 time: 5.03 Projected Round: 3

Carl Nicks – OT – Nebraska
Height: 6’5” Weight: 335 lbs. 40 time: 5.30 Projected Round: 2

Mario Urrutia – WR – Louisville
Height: 6’6 Weight: 232 lbs. 40 times: 4.58, 4.63 Projected Round: 4

Gary Barnidge – TE – Louisville
Height: 6’6” Weight: 234 lbs 40 times: 4.62 Projected Round: 6

Jets Free Agency Preview

The Jets actually got a somewhat early start on Free Agency, albeit a very minor one by signing former Patriots S Artrell Hawkins. They have also re-signed LB Brad Kassell to a three year deal.

Now, on to the good stuff. Talk is starting to brew now that Free Agency is just around the corner (signing period begins Friday, Feb. 29th). The Jets are reportedly in a good place financially to make some serious moves in the free agency signing period. Here is a list of Unrestricted Free Agents that the Jets have reportedly shown interest in: (Note- I also included the height and weight of every player, as well as their current team and other teams rumored to be interested)

OG Alan Faneca – Height: 6’5” Weight: 307 lbs Current Team: Steelers
