Jerricho Cotchery interview transcript 11/15/10

On Monday New York Jets wide receiver addressed the media.  Here is the transcript courtesy of the Jets.

On his injury…

“I just looked at the MRI and they said they’re just going to see how I respond to the treatment, so we’re just going to take it on a day-to-day basis, see, and go from there.”

On whether he has been ruled out for the Houston game already…

“No, they haven’t ruled me out. Hopefully, these treatments go well for me. I’ll be living in the treatment room for a while, all of this week, and hopefully, my body responds well to it.”

On his diving catch in overtime…

“I was just trying to make a play for the team at that point in time. (I) didn’t think Mark (Sanchez) was going to treat me like an available receiver at that point in time (laughing), but he directed traffic and gave me the opportunity to make it. I just tried to make the catch for him.”

On when the injury occurred…

“I was feeling good the entire game, and when I came out of my break on that particular play, I just felt my groin give. I was hobbling around out there and just saw Mark scramble out of the pocket, and I was like, ‘Don’t look at me,’ but he did (laughing). He told me to slide the other way and I’m like, ‘I can’t’ (laughing). He threw the ball and I just tried to make a play.”
