Rob Turner To The Rams

The St. Louis Rams have now added versatile offensive lineman Rob Turner to their roster.  They signed him to a reported one-year deal on Friday.  Turner will be reunited with offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.  Tight end Matthew Mulligan is also on the Rams roster.

Turner, who played for New Mexico in college, has been in the league four years.  He missed the entire 2011 season after breaking his leg in preseason.  Jets General Manager has been praising offensive lineman Caleb Schlauderaff every chance he gets this off season.  At the same time the Jets are very thin when it comes to offensive line depth so we believe the Jets should have brought Turner back.  A solid locker room guy, he plays multiple positions and if Turner was on the roster, Vladimir Ducasse would not see the field as a blocking tight end.

Those all seemed like good reasons to bring Rob Turner back.  Apparently Mike Tannenbaum did not agree.
