Jets Score TD; Lose To Eagles

by Phil Sullivan on August 31, 2012

The New York Jets ended the preseason with another loss, this time to the Philadelphia Eagles last night.  The Jets ended the preseason 0 and 4, but this time they did score a TD.  Greg McErloy connected with rookie Terrance Ganaway on a 8 yard pass to put the Jets in the end zone for the first time this preseason.  The starters, and Tim Tebow, did not play so there is not much to read into from this loss.

Greg McElroy and Matt Simms split time at QB and here are their numbers:

McElroy 12/17 for 90 yards and 1 TD.

Simms 3/6 for 9 yards.

McElroy also looked nimble as he ran for 33 yards.

We will have information on the Jets roster cuts today as well as injury updates.

I started JetNation in 2005 and have been a New York Jets season ticket holder since graduating from high school. My dream is to see the New York Jets win the Super Bowl. Until then, I will be right here on JetNation writing, dreaming and talking NY Jets football.
