Jets Sign Ivory To 3-year Deal: Waszak

According to Dennis Waszak Jr. the Jets have signed newly acquired running back Chris Ivory to a 3-year contract.

A person familiar with the situation says the New York Jets and newly acquired running back Chris Ivory have agreed in principle to a three-year, $10 million deal.

The deal Saturday comes after the Jets traded a fourth-round draft pick to the New Orleans Saints on Friday night. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team hadn’t announced the contract.

NFL Network first reported the contract.

The 25 year old running back stands 6′ tall and weighs 222lbs.  For his career he has rushed for 1,307 yards and have a very impressive 5.1 yards per carry average.  He seems to be the favorite to win the starting job.  He will compete with newly signed Mike Goodson, Bilal Powell and Joe McKnight.
