Jets Sign Second Round Pick QB Geno Smith

New York Jets

With rookies set to report to training camp today the New York Jets have announced they’ve signed their second round pick quarterback Geno Smith:

Smith’s signing was expected before the start of camp as noted in a recent JetNation article.  He received a four year contract worth approximately $5 million with $2 million guaranteed.

The Jets now have two members of their draft class left to sign,  first round picks cornerback Dee Milliner and defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson.  Neither player will report to camp until they are signed but with other first round picks coming to terms recently, Milliner and Richardson are expected to be under contract soon.

Jets fans are discussing Geno Smith in the Jet Nation message board.
