Background and College
Born November 15, 1929 in Imlay City, Michigan) attended Michigan State. As the Spartan's quarterback in 1950 and 1951, he led the team on a 28-game winning streak. After graduation he played at Bolling Field Air Base in Washington, D. C., where he was voted the to player in Air Force Service football in 1954.
NFL Career
Dorow was taken in the third round (31st overall) in the 1952 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins, being voted MVP in the 1956 Pro Bowl. In 1957, he moved to the Philadelphia Eagles and then spent some time with Toronto in the CFL.
As a Titan
Dorow signed for the Titans In the 1960 season, Dorow completed 201 of 396 pass attempts amassing 2848 yards in the air, and led the league in touchdown passes with 26. He was named player of the week three times. In 1961, Dorow led the AFL in pass attempts and completions, but also in interceptions, with 30.
After the Titans
Dorow then moved to the Buffalo Bills for the 1962 season. After retiring he became an assistant coach for the Spartans. He was the head coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1971.
