Mets payroll is still some 70 mill below the Yanks so not to worry as our signings in recent history usually end up being semi disasters.

i just find it funny Mets fans are calling for a playoff berth and the sox fans think another title is guaranteed.

Smizz, you're my boy..but come on. The Mets finished with 83 wins..and that was after starting off 0-5. Looper blew saves and there was no hitting at first base. So now they get Wagner, Delgado and a good catcher.

You KNOW they will be better. I, as a baseball fan, believe they will be better. Now, i know you hate the red sox...and that is cool. But, you have to admit..you like Omar's bravado and his ability to get the prime time guys.

Beltran will be fine. Even if he has a tough time with NY and all that, he will be better then last year, no doubt about it. ANd Delgado will be a whole lot better then Mr. M...... was at 1B.

LL...I like Omar's bravado!!..Im gonna have to go all the way to San Diego to see my Mikey though... :cry: . I wanted to keep Cameron. I liked Jacobs also. I think he had great potential but I know Delgado should be better. Even though he snubbed us last year.

Hey no one can deny it. Omar has done what he has to. Plain and simple. To not get Wagner would have been a collossal error, as that would leave the pen in shambles, like last year.

Adding a bat like Delgado, and a catcher like Molina or Hernandez, but not fixing the pen would have been a waste.
