View Full Version : Yankees punked again by a good/decent team!
Jet/BosoxFan 05-15-2006, 11:36 PM Hmmm...with Sheffroid in the crapper and Chop Suey likely out for the season, the Yankees continue to find ways to lose against good teams. Unfortunately, they cannot play the KC Royals everyday. This time its the late inning bullpen that *****ed them up! Not a big surprise that it was Farnsworthless...but it coulda been Villone, Myers, Proctor (dont kid yourselves) or even the very hittable Mariano.
At least Flash was good in the regular season. Granted, he was grim death in the post season...but he coulda got it done tonight.
Expect Johnny D to be on the receiving end of a fat george tirade soon!

Garbanza named him Zippy. It just fits. Even Sux fans can't stand this coward.

In my defense...those message boards of NAMBLA, Adult Functional Illiterates, and The Scat Lovers Association have very lively, interactive participation.

Amazing. So that's where you hang out when you have nothing to post here.

Those boards must be especially busy on nights when the Sox lose.
Thor99 05-16-2006, 09:32 AM Lost in all this JBF bashing is one important thing. He's right.

Right about what? That "those message boards of NAMBLA, Adult Functional Illiterates, and The Scat Lovers Association have very lively, interactive participation"?
We'll take your word for it.

Rarely.
And that's being generous.
Matt39 05-16-2006, 11:47 AM Yankees swept Texas a week ago. Apparently they weren't a good team then.

I guess we'll also ignore the fact that Texas just recently beat the Sox 6-0 just a few days ago.

SHHH, that doesn't help make JBF's point

Maybe winning 2 of 3 will...

Yup in a whole 5 1/2 innings too!

so are you saying it doesnt go down in the books as a victory? your crazy, carl.

Of course it counts. I was just pointing out a fact that the previous poster left out. If games were over after 5 1/2 innings the Yanks would probably be in last place.

Nope.
Check the games this season. Thanks to Mr. Sturtze, they have blown a few leads in the 6th and 7th. They are about at the same record though. I had to bend the issue a bit, for example, making sure that the home team was winning after 5 1/2, otherwise, to play the bottom of the 6th, etc.
I would wonder what the record would be for a team with a lousy pen would be? I mean a real lousy pen, but decent starters.
Too time consuming to check though.
Green Jets & Ham 05-19-2006, 06:22 PM Right now the Yankees OF is devistated by injuries so I expect them to struggle a bit, but I'm just as sure they'll make a run when Sheffield comes off the DL and restores some semblence of balance ... and win the AL East as usual, even without Matsui
Actually this is becoming ho-hum ... its like Groundhog day ... Red Sox take an early lead, then the Yankees wiz right by them to win the AL East for the Gazillionth year in a row
