i was actually up in Maine this weekend but was on the coast so was not affected as in land locations - this was a very serious situation - NH, ME and MA all declared a state of emergency -

many many people had basement flooding but more serious was all the dams on small rivers about to burst and flood entire towns. It was real bad up there this weekend.

Chestnut Hill is fine, Faba. Some localized street flooding - but nothing major. The real issues are towns with rivers and ponds that run through them. Northeast Mass and Southern New Hampshire is getting it's azz kicked. Homes being flooded, streets closed, evacuations.....it's bad.

I have to imagine that there is some way for Massachussetts and Vermont to tax their way out of the flood right? :)

It's George Bush's fault.

Soooo funny! Honest to God, that is what my father says! He hates him so much, he blames EVERYTHING on him. Global Warming - Bush. Gas Prices - Bush. Rising Crime Rate - Bush. Reality TV - Bush. Neighbor needs to paint his house - Bush

Sorry to disappoint, folks - Boston isn't drowning....but New Hampshire is. LOL! Oh, and Lowell, MA too - which, quite frankly, is a good thing.

Garb your father would be a perfect match for my mother- she despises Bush and the whole Republican party. Too many red houses in the US

I hear that, Blackout! 9 straight days of rain. Sun tomorrow and Thursday. Back to rain for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. That's it! Going to Ft. Lauderdale for three days of respite! (or drying out)
