It's too bad the guy is hurt. He did a good job last season. I won't miss the sick feeling in my stomach that I got whenever they ran him out there this year, though.

Same feelings here.

I hope the guy recovers and can get on with his career, and his life. But I am upset that he hid this injury, and cost the Yankees several times this season already. He no longer has a spot on the team, as far as I'm concerned. His age is up there (35 area) and there are younger prospects on the way (lefties Matt Smith and Charles Manning, righties JB Cox, TJ Beam).

The worst thing you can do is hide an injury- you hurt yourself and the team

Sturtze won't be back with the team next season...he is getting up there in age and I think Torre was fed up with him towards his departure due to injury this season.

Once again, a Yankee fan says "____ will fix all our problems". Will Roger Clemens fix the starting pitching, too?

This is the best thing to happen to the Yankees all season. Sturtze Sucks. Thank god he is out. Next thing we need is for Johnson to tear something so we can bring up Hughes.

There is no difference between dotel coming back and bannister coming back...I mean don't you guys want bannister back to stabilize your faulty SP right now? It's only normal for a fan to want their injured players back to help the team reutrn to form.

Hughes is starter material. top of the rotation stuff. He is not the guy replacing Sturtze. Also, he is only 19 now, I doubt he gets called up until next Sept. (2007). Let him finish this season in AA, and all next year in AAA first.

Hey, he has not thrown 150 innings in a season yet. He needs 2 of those before he gets here, just to build up stamina.

Hughes is going to be our John Pappelbon or Francisco Liriano

Nope.

He won't be in the pen. He will be a #1 or #2 in the rotation, starting in 2008.
