Bernie in RF and Damon in CF is like giving third base on singles all day.

They can take 3rd base I'll take 2 3-run homeruns this inning.

**** the redsox and their ****ty fanbase.

Good game from Beckett tonight. Where Is Jets/BlowsuxFan? He was here. I guess he ran away after Phillips went deep.

Once again JBF shows how hes not only the dumbest poster on this board but hes also the biggest p*ssy who cant take his loss like a man. Run away and cry JBF noone likes you.

I'm a Sox fan and I'm here. We did this to Unit last month, your number 2 guy. Beckett is our number two. It happens. Still a lot of game left here and this week.

Carl, I'd take Beckett over Schilling

13 years younger and more devistating stuff

he'll bounce back

JBF is getting owned. Not as bad as the sox are getting owned but pretty close!

Actually this might be too kind. Jane Pauley could pitch to an under 12 ERA.

I wonder where JBF is.

And why the hell is Scott Proctor warming up in a game that we don't need him in for?:Cuss:

This goes for JBF as well. But we are knocking off these personal attacks. No need for name calling.

Talk baseball.

Rick Suttcliffe makes Michael Kay a welcome alternative if that's possible.

Is there any player Rick won't over embelish?

You'd think Moose was throwing a 2 hit shutout tonight.

Julian Tavarez's 4.63 ERA is "good" by his standards

I seem to remember another Texan that blew like a 9-0 lead to the Yankees a few years back. He went on to win, at last count like 341 games.

Beckett is still worth the price of having to take Lowell of the Marlins hands. ;) 7 of 12 quality starts? Not too bad for a young starter in Boston. How have the other two Marlins starters from that championship team done? Do they have 7 cobined quality starts yet?

I'm happy about tonight, but I'm not going to gloat. I've seen the worm turn too many times.

Maybe I'll gloat about this time on Thursday.

whoa whoa PKFISH, lets not go and compare Beckett to Clemens just yet

He's gotta get to atleast 200 IP in a season to even get a mention, let alone comparison.

My Opinion: Oh My Josh sucked so hard last night that he should be relegated to mop-up duty tonight if AA-stud Pauley (sp?) gets lit up early.

Same here. Anyone who throws 96-97, with decent control, and is 26, is more useful then a 39 year old who is closer to the end of the line then not.

It's just 1 game, albeit one against the Bosox. But it is just one win. Let's see the Yankees win 2 of the next 3, then I'll be satisfied. Win all 3, and I'll be really satisfied.

Nice show by the kids/replacements. Phillips just needed consistent playing time, and a chance. Too bad he had to sit in the Minors all these years. The fact that he could hit was obvious. Melky showed some smarts, and hustle in the first. He continues to impress.

Bernie and Cairo came through, again. Bernie is starting to whip the bathead through the strikezone a lot quicker, especially as a left-handed hitter. This bodes well for the Yankees, although they still need to keep him from having to play everyday.
