The Chicago Cubs selected the junior outfielder Tyler Colvin out of Clemson University with the 13th pick in the first round of Tuesday's First-Year Amateur Player Draft.
Despite good numbers, he was ranked 170th among position players by Baseball America. (who knows how many pitchers were ranked ahead of the next Ted Williams)
Wow... and just when I was losing faith in the organization for hanging on to enept coaches and managers. We have the front office of the new millenium. Truely visionary ..... to call them prophets would not come close to justice.
I .... I ... just don't know what else say.

I dunno T - Ynka Dare at least made it to the bigs as I remember. I'll be checking BaseballReference.com daily to look for Ty Colvins numbers. Doubt I'll ever find an entry although I wish the kid well.
