Thu, 8 Jun 2006 12:31:00 -0700

Tejada
Roberts
Lopez
Mora
Why did you pick the top 4 stars? Lopez didn't even play everyday, Roberts doesn't strike me as that type of a guy at all.
Tejada (have you ever seen him jawing in the bench? dude looks like he needs a block of wood to calm his rabbid jaw, tell tale symptoms of a speed addict). This is the only guy I would expect.

Who cares if he doesn't play everyday. Grimsely doesn't pitch everyday. Roberts had 12 homeruns (in 5 years) up until last season then hit 18 and now again this year has 0 thus far, and Tejada, I just suspect. Mora's career high with home runs was 19, after that 15. He's hit 27 the past 2 seasons, I don't know, just a little strange.
As far as amphetamine users, it's the whole damn major leagues. If you're going to ban players who used speed, they'd have been playing 2 on 2. These guys play every day all summer and travel when they're off. If they aren't inhaling caffeine or greenies by the handful, they would be sleeping in the outfield come August-90+ degrees 100% humidity, doubleheaders, day games after night games. And that's been going on since before WWII. If it wasn't greenies it was jacked up coffee.

If he named any Orioles, I would expect that he named Sosa and Palmiero. But there is no big surprise there.
Roberts? He does not have the body type to make that claim.

Look at Alex Sanchez though. That was certainly not the body of a user.
This pointing fingers policy is ridiculous now.
But, it is what all of this has wrought, and baseball only has itself to blame. They are going to need disclosure, or the whole league is going to be suspected.
The union's usual method of trying to withdraw into a shell is not going to work this time. The union is going to need to be smart. But, that has never happened either.
Tejada is a steroid guy. Big power....hung out with Giambi. He has all the warning signs.
Melvin Mora got good real quick as well. He is on something.
