The AL is called the "junior circuit" because it was established after the NL had been playing for a few years. It has nothing to do with the relative performance of the teams. In all honesty, I haven't heard that term used in a long time. Arod is anti-clutch. he is the kind of player who has great stats but those stats are never there when the Yanks/Rangers/Seattle needed a hit or a HR to win a game. The bottom line is that he is talented but he is not clutch. He is no Jeter....more people fear Jeter in a game changing situation than A-Rod. LL Give SNY a break...they are the Mets channel...they are supposed to be pro Mets. |
