Maybe your problem is the Firefox browser. I use it at work because it's better than Safari, but it's pretty screwy with some sites.

Oh and I think the Fan Zone crashed the server. They got overloaded with Miller Lite Hot Spots. Seems like 5 or 6 fan site links was all the server could handle after all.

Nice machine and I concur - the new site is as bad - maybe worse - than the old site. It's sad to not get your navigation right when using a frame work (Rails) designed for rapid and easy development. The Jets web guys help make the people I support look competent - something that is almost impossible to imagine.

It doesn't enhance the site. It makes it annoying. If it was some artsy-fartsy graphics-only site then maybe I could see it. But most of the site is text. Where to watch the games; the schedule; team stats; history; etc. Absolutely no reason to be in flash.

Not to mention that search engines are blind to flash, making all the content basically no-existant to internal and external search engines.

Flash for navigation is the worst. Navigation should be quick, easy, intuitive and consistant.

For other sites that matters (search engine stuff). But I don't think they worry about that aspect of it. Most non-forum-surfing Jet fans end up on their site anyway. I mean it's www.newyorkjets.com; I don't think people have to google the team name to find it. That notwithstanding, you're absolutely right about search spiders not being able to read it.
