I use it work because this lousy Mac came with Safari, which is pretty much useless.

I don't see any advantage over IE7. The tabbed browsing is great, but that comes on IE, now.

The extensions are what makes firefox better

Who needs that crap? All I need is an address box and a standard toolbar with back, forward, stop, and home... MAYBE a favorite menu. Thats it.

the one extension that is not "crap" are the mouse gestures. You never need to move the mouse over to click on the back/fwd/refresh page/resize/close window/etc. They started out in a different browser (Opera) & Mozilla smartly copied from it. It's not as fast as Opera (and doesn't protect your machine as well) but it's way better than IE.

i think safari works best on macs but if you have windows than firefox is the way to go

The reason Firefox is a million times better is the fact it doesn't pimp your IP or your computer in general to any sh*tty little software company that feels the need to load your computer up with their virus protection. I just want protection from those a-holes, firefox provides that beautifully. My computers have never run more smoothly on the web.

how ya been lag? I haven't seen ya posting for a while.

I don't know about the new version of IE, but from using the old IE it was very prone to viruses and spam. I was lucky if half the time my IE didn't freeze up or have to be shut down. Firefox is a helluva lot better.
