I sometimes joke about how arrogant you native, adopted or ex-patriot NY fans are. Well, it's no joke, most of your are.;) But I have to admit - I don't blame you. Today I was flying into Laguardia due South. I've never taken this route before. It was breathtaking. Damn, it IS the best city in the world. I felt proud....me, the Boston chick. Weird. I can now understand the attitude. It was a cement momument to what makes this country what it is. Almost majestic - in a realy capitalistic way. Powerful, actually. After 911, it just hits home. Really cool.

MY Mom has pictures from 1969 she shot from Liberty Island with the WTC going up in the background, but I cannot find them today. This will do.

You mean the big leak.

15 Billion dollars and over 200 leaks so far.

Nice work guys. Glad we call all chip in with our tax dollars for your underground tunnel.

I so glad you didn't put that 15 billion to something crazy like public transportation.

True, but I look at this way:

You have Hurricanes in the South, tornadoes in the middle of the country, contant rain in the Pacific northwest, earthquakes and mudslides in California, 120 heat in Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada, TX is in Texas. And, you know something? I could get hit by a car crossing the street tomorrow. Ah, life. It's all about surviving the dangers. LOL! A leaky tunnel doesn't scare me....yet.
