Pedro Martinez (hip) returned from the Dominican Republic with an illness, putting his status for next Wednesday in doubt.
"He had some type of stomach virus or food poisoning or whatever," manager Willie Randolph said. "He's a little bit weak, he told me, and he hasn't been able to eat much, so when he gets his strength back and gets on the mound, then we'll know how he is." Martinez could pitch in the bullpen on Friday or Saturday. It will be up to him when he feels he should return.

I'm getting sick of him.

With a 12 game lead you can allow your Ace to get healthy.

It's that simple.

That's because he is a Diva. Always has been, always will be.

Mets should aim for Livan Hernandez though. Think of that 3 man rotation in October of Pedro, Glavine, Hernandez. That's an easy ticket to the World Series for you guys...even though it shouldn't be too hard unless the Stros or Cards hit some hot streaks.

Who?;)

How appropriate that you ask that question 124. The other day when I was at the Yanks/D'Rays game, Pavano was in the outfield throwing a little bit before the game and I was standing behind the yankee dugout when he was walking bye to go to the clubhouse and I yelled out "who the hell is that guy" :box:

It's like being a manager at Hooters and all the waitresses are having that special time of month.

Always been a Livan fan but he has been awful this year and also is supposedly struggling through a knee problem. Kinda falls under the Ponson signing where it could be a great move but not a sure thing.

While Ponson cost the Yanks 160k , Livan's tag is 7mill.

The WS is not a easy ticket as long as the Cards can throw , Carpenter, Mulder and Marquis at you. Their pen is suspect though.

Houston with Huff added to the offense can make a run and if they get there, Oswalt and Clemens are no treat to have to beat.
