All of the announcers last nite said Tigers not good enough to hold lead but will still survive to get wildcard.
Their main reason they gave was Tigers are something like 3-10 against the best teams and are somewhat over-rated.

Whatever. I don't care. Tigers are 31 games over .500 and yet people still think they aren't legit. I'm not going to flat out say the Tigers are going to make the playoffs, because I don't go out and make declarations like that when there's still half a season to be played. But they aren't some flash in teh pan team, and they are for one, not overrated. If anything all that bs talk will hopefully get them playing with a chip on their shoulder and they'll play even better.

Mavrik, neither you, the Tigers, nor any other Tigers fan needs to prove anything to us right now. Detroit has the best record in baseball just after the All-Star break in a division that includes last year's World Series winner. Nothing to apologize about there.
