Hi Everyone, Here is a story...
I recently attended my Uncle's funeral in Mass. And his death was a blow to my family as he was the voice of reason. I'll give you a little background first...
My Uncle and I had a great comraderie when it came to football. Him being a patriots fan and redsox fan and me being a J.E.T.S. fan and yankee fan. Mostly the comraderie was about football, of course! LOL The comraderie at times went past the point as one time in particular I remember the jets and patriots played a monday night game in foxboro I believe and the jets took it to em bad lol. Anyway I call him up at 1 a.m. when the game finished and he had just gotten in bed and the first thing I say is, " How'd you like that, We really kicked there @$$, LOL" He says, " Do you know what time it is?" He then said " Yeah that was just great are you happy now?". Of course I replied, "yeah alot"! He said, "good" and started laughing. Then we said goodnight and talked to each other another time.
Playoffs were a different story. If the jets won or lost in the playoffs he would call me to congratulate me or console me as I would do the same with him. In the playoffs there was no trash talking or gloating win or lose. So here I am at my uncles funeral in Mass sitting in the church listening to my cousins ulugy for my uncle and my cousin did a fine job as this was his father. A part of my cousins ulugy went like this...
"My father was born and raised in New York were he loved the Giants and Yankees". (BOOS IN THE CHURCH)! I swear to god! LOL I'm like Woh! Then the next part of my cousins ulugy for his father was " He then moved to Mass and saw the light and became a patriots and Redsox fan" (YEYS NOW)! First thing that hit my mind was these fans remind me of Yankee Fans sitting in the not so good seats in Yankee Stadium LOL I have been there many times! LOL They are just as fanatics! LOL
Anyway I thought I would share this story with you as If you remember things like this about the people who are close to you that you lose they can never be lost.
