Time for the Tigers to put this crap to bed once and for all. Biggest series of the year by far. They gotta take this series, period.

The Tigers have a losing record against the White Sox, Red Sox and Yankees right? They really need to step up in this series to show the doubters (like me) that they are legit.

All I could think about was this thread while watching that disaster last night. Tigers have to get their heads out of their asses against these top teams if they're gonna ever get the respect they want. That I said, nothing less then 2 straight wins against the Sox accomplishes that. If they don't get their act together soon, it will affect that team mentally.

And yes, we owe you Yankee fans huge. :)

Grand Slam! Tigers lead 5-2 in the 6th. Comerica park is packed. Looks the Tigers bandwagon is full!

Comerica has been straight insane.

Did u see the look on Monroe's face when that thing left the bat? Priceless.

Great f-ing game by the Tigers. Bonderman continues to really impress and I was happy to see Monroe get into it. Proud day to be a Tigers fan.

Now we have to win tomorrow for the exclamation point.

Ah. Finally. 2 of 3 from Chicago. Good performances from Rogers, Zumaya, and Jonesy today.

With the win, the Tigers now have a 5 1/2 game lead over Chicago in the AL Central.

Great series win for your Tigers, Mavrik. The Sox still have a 6-3 advantage, but that's a whole lot easier to accept with that sizable lead. I don't think that anyone can say the Tigers are going to miss the playoffs the way they are playing.

Tigers and White Sox still have 11 games to play against each other before the season's out. Including a series 2 weeks before the end of teh season. I can imagine that is gonig to be one of the most important 3 game series' for both teams this year.

Won't complain. The key is winning series, or having the immediate teams you are chasing lose series.

I think what's interesting is that now in addition to chasing the Tigers, the White Sox now have to worry about the Twinkies catching ups to them. Twins are only 4 games back and are playing some outstanding ball right now.

As long as they have Santana and Loriano a tthe top of the rotation, and guys like Radke at #3, with a decent pen, they will be heard from. Sort of remind me of teh Dodgers in teh 1960s, when I was just getting into Baseball. Great pitching, especially at the top (Koufax and Drysdale, with Claude Osteen and Bill Singer behind them, among others). Not the best hitting, and not much in the power department. But excellent defense. At least the Twins have a top hitter in Mauer, and a slugger in Maurenu.
