does he get the runner in from 3rd with less than 2 outs. It's the worst such percentage on the Yankees(except for Sal Fasano) by almost 10 percentage points. Quoted from Elias on ESPN Radio last night. Everyone else in the lineup is between 49 and 70%. Think of that-he can score the guy with a flyout or a decent groundball(not even a hit), and more often than not, in a situation where the pitchers has to throw strikes, he cannot put the bat on the ball. There's something really wrong here. The averager for all MLBers is around 48%.

But you forget how clutch he is at 3B. ;)

so if the score is 10-0, and A-rod fails to advance the runner from 3rd base, this counts against him in that catagory

They do not break it down that much. It's simply a raw stat-does the runner on 3rd score or not? Remarkably A-Rod's batting avarage with RISP is almost exactly his overall average. I'm not saying "A-rod sucks-trade him!". But there has to be a change in his approach or something.

Is anyone actually ever confident when Arod comes to the plate?

Arod scares no one.

Arod in terms of that category is 2nd to last in all of baseball.

does this stat count walks against his total? if not, this is terrible. all you have to is put the ball in play in that situation.

Come on, dude.

He has 11Ks in 34 ABs in that situation. That is Dave Kingman type numbers.
