View Full Version : August Swoon = BlowSux hibernation
JonEJet 08-14-2006, 10:49 PM http://www.jetnation.com/forums/search.php?searchid=7619
I just got back from a week in Vegas, and to my suprise, BlowSux is still nowhere to be found
Looking at it a bit deeper (BlowSux like it deep) it seems as if BlowSux hasn't had the time to post much since the Sawx season started going downhill fast
Just once in August? Coincidence? I think not
What a phoney:banned:
G.O.B. 08-15-2006, 08:25 AM I've been waiting for his excuse as to why the Tigers got 'lucky' last night, but stand her disappointed.

Tigers were very lucky last night. You see, the stars were aligned just right for Ortiz to not be able to get any hits. And Beckett gave up a triple on the first pitch because a cameramans shutter flashed just as Josh was was entering his windup. Blah, Blah.:Typotux:
You want excuses, I'll give you excuses. ;)
Beckett has had control problems all season. Can that be an excuse? :)

well he was a nice throw in for the Mike Lowell trade, right? ;)
AirForceJetFan 08-15-2006, 09:28 AM Could we please stop the childish banter and get back to more important baseball topics. I for one would like to know if anybody thinks there's going to be any friction between Schilling and Beckett when Beckett barely beats out Curt for the AL Cy Young award.
Opinions?;)
Lowell DEFINITELY has exceeded expectations.
Beckett - He forces his pitches. Thinks he can throw heat by everyone when his other pitches aren't working - and they aren't working. He has issues controlling his emotions which translates to his pitching, I think anyway.
Ahh.....should be an interesting week.

JonEJet 08-15-2006, 10:43 PM Another Yankee wins, along with another Sawx loss means BlowSux will be even more difficult to find
Too bad....at least the Sawx are talking about getting Hawkins
Bwa-hahahhaahhahahahahahahahahaahahaha

Typical Yankees Fan - rub it in, beat a dead horse, kick a dog when it's down....yadda, yadda, yadda.....
Coco Crisp is more like a Fruit Loop. I'm still waiting for someone to explain why he's leading off. Speed they say...speed. What's the point if you can't get on base?
Lester is hitting the wall, it seems. I'll give him a break - for now.
If Hensen can become a starter someday, he's worth holding on to.
Delcarmen - yup, because the Sox need as many mediocre releivers as possible.
Blackout™ 08-16-2006, 09:27 AM i thought hensen was going to be the closer next year?

I find that silly. Why mess up a good thing (Papelbon)?
AirForceJetFan 08-16-2006, 11:02 AM I find that silly. Why mess up a good thing (Papelbon)?
I've heard a few times this season that the plan for Pappelbon is to move him to the rotation next season. I've wondered if they'll stick to that based on how well he's pitched so far.

Unless Pap. falls off the face of the earth the next 6 weeks, it would be foolish to move him next season. He has the stuff to be a solid closer for years on end.
Sharrow 08-16-2006, 12:02 PM Was he a starter in the minors? If he'd be as or almost as successful as a starter than he has been as a closer, then he'd be even more valuable, imo. Unless you can't find anyone else to close.

And right now, teh Bosox have no one else who is even close to a decent closer. maybe Timlin, but at his age, maybe you do not want to go there.

The real tragedy here...JonEJinx went to Las Vegas and didnt tell any of us he was gonna be there.
We could have all gone too and made a fortune betting against him at Blackjack!!!
When will he ever use his powers for good???
JonEJet 08-16-2006, 08:45 PM Great.....his balls finally dropped into his sack
Gainzo 08-16-2006, 09:02 PM The Red Sox are dead to me. Gutless wonders.
Jet/BosoxFan 08-16-2006, 10:31 PM Great.....his balls finally dropped into his sack
Yeah they did...there is no more room left in your mouth I guess.
Blackout™ 08-16-2006, 10:34 PM nice of you to show up on a day the Yankees lose and the Red Sox win JBF

He just got back from Vegas.;)
gtrain 08-16-2006, 11:28 PM gtrain says the Yankees will win the AL East by 6 games. The Red Sox are done.

2 things, blackout:
-I posted that before either game was played...teah, thats right, I am the anti-JonEJinx.
-I dont care if the Red Sox win another game this year, as long as I am here to celebrate another Yankee season ending prematurely by shotgunning multiple cans of PBR and taking a LOOOOONG p*ss on their 2006 grave!

Too bad.;)

It's rare when someone can both throw in the towel and flash how pathetic they are in the same post. Bravo. :bag:
