I wasn't able to watch the game today, but I heard that Jeter and A-Rod both pursued a pop up, both were calling for it and couldn't hear each other, and collided, letting the ball drop. At this point, Jeter proceeded to simply stare at A-Rod while the ball was still in play. I didn't see it, but apparently it was a topic of discussion on PTI...

Anyone see it/have any insight? If it's true, Jeter can't be doing that. Whether he's right or not, he's the captain and he can't show players up on the field.

It was A-Rod's play, all the way. But it looked like Jeter was calling for it, and The SS is like the Cf out there; what he calls for, is his.

But Jeter was in any area he does not belong.

when questioned about his reaction and why he didn't go pick up the ball, Jeter said he thought E-Rod had caught it. :rolleyes:
