I'm assuming it isn't the Xbox 360 version that you bought, as that will be a vast improvement over the 06 version.

However, I'm thinking of giving it a miss this year. EA-UK have delayed it until September when I will have already bought some other games that will be taking up my time. Plus I don't like the sound of Hall of Fame players being in franchise mode, as that would ruin the game for me.

Just got it for the 360. Haven't opened it yet. If I don't return for several months that most likely means it is good!

Not freeze but like a pause in the music .. Is that what you mean ?? Cause my Madden also does it for PS2

Mine does the freeze before the playbook too but only for like a second or two.

Good thing I just got '06 for my PC, at least EA will let me upload this season into my computer...

I got it for 360, but it lacks so much that i love in the madden franchise, like fantasy drafts and the whole franchise thing is only playing games. I traded it in for the PS2 version at game stop. I would rather have all the things i love than watch the grass gradually get muddier, even in hd.

Is it as good as 2006 for the Palm?

Mine lags also after a play and after i pick a play.. to me it's just like I baught madden 06 all over again. O well I still play it cos it's the only kind of video game I enjoy.

I got it for the 360 . I like it . The gameplay is awesome . I'm a little disappointed in the graphics though . The players are also mis-proportioned . The qb's for example are huge; they look like linebackers . That's nitpicking I guess . Of note : Jets 3-0 . I dumped Pennington and Martin for Vince Young and Reggie Bush respectively . Young is a beast in the game . Last game stat line for Young 9 carries 101 yds . 17-25 268yds 3 TD 1 int . What could have been, had WE drafted him .

I got it for 360. I must say that this is the most disappointed I have ever been in a video game. The graphics are horrible. While the close ups are great and look "life" like - the graphics during gameplay suck. The DB's look the same size as the DL and are shaped like lego men. I felt like I was playing Madden 94. The gamplay is also almost simulated like and skips frames. It is as if you do not control the game yourself and the computer determines the play for you. Needless to say I returned both the game and the X Box 360. Not only that but Madden got rid of some of their best features like the Fantasy draft in franchise mode which I have enjoyed since they created this - they replaced it with nothing. They also re did the drills (which was much needed) - but the replacement is total horse****. This game is a great example of why competition is needed in gaming. If the 2k series had a game out there is no way EA would release this piece of garbage. EA should be embarrased with themselves. There is a huge outcry in Madden community right now over this piss poor game.

You honestly think Vince Young will ever do anything remotely close to that in real life?

I have a 42' HDTV that I used when playing.

Like I said the close ups are great - but I "A" through those anyway. The graphics during gameplay are very poor, imo.

Yeah what's up with that? I'm not too crazy about the constant freezing for a few seconds thing either. I rented it though, for ps2. not sure if I may buy it quite yet

Didn't stop them from forcing me 3 and out, then throwing a bull**** bomb to Andre Johnson with 2 seconds left. Gotta love "God mode". EA can't find a way to program the computer to be competitive, so they just give it Jesus-like powers in the last 2 minutes.

What kind of defense were you running?

The 4-6 bear shuts down any 2 WR set. Choose the 46 defense that has everybody blitzing, except the 2 corners in man coverage, the centerfield safety in zone, and 1 of the 2 LBs in man coverage vs the tight end.

The whole line blitzes, plus 1 of the 2 LBs, you always get to the QB, and it stuffs the run. Like me, I play as the FS, and they never pass for success vs me. This defense should work very well.

OK, but this game is weak. It crunches after every single f##king play. The soundtrack sucks as always. The graphics havent improved in years.

Say what you want about 2K5, but at least, they had a cool little halftime show with Berman, and the players actually looked like the players. Their facial graphics were amazing. The rest of it sucked tho. Madden should work to improve the graphics of these players. Its weak and cheap.

It did not used to be that way.

When I was in Korea in 2001, must have been playing Madden 2000 I guess, the difference between the levels was not that big. In NCAA, the difference is not that big.
