It would be great to get anything for A-Rod but it's a bit early to be worrying about that right now. The Yankees have a 27th ring to make a run at.

This should be revisited in November. But if the Angels put Santana, Woods, a Figgins type, and a prospect on the table, the Yankees will listen.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but I'd say it's far from a lock that he won't want to get the hell out of NY before he loses his mind.

Money is not an issue IMO. If any team considers acquiring A-Rod, I would expect them to demand that the Yankees pick up a portion of his salary. If the Yanks pick up 5 mil, that leaves the Angels paying him around 12 mil, which he will generate in season ticket and merchandise sales himself.

How is that an issue at this point? Stupid would be giving up A-Rod for less than what he is worth. If the Angels make what the Yankees consider to be a fair offer, then it's the job of the FO to consider it. A-Rod is a talent but lets face it, it's not like he carries this team.

If the Yankees Deal A-Rod for some decent vets and dont get any blue chippers then it's a stupid deal. If they can add a guy like Lackey (for starters), some relief help, and some top prospects they'd be crazy not to do it. JMO of course.

This trade would be hilarious, considering how much crap the Angels fans talk about him.
