Guns N' Roses have reclaimed the throne that was always theirs. From stellar reviews to audience adulation, Guns N' Roses' recent sold out shows have proved that they are back in a big way.
vinnys025 09-29-2006, 01:33 PM Are they coming to Texas? Also, they better have buckethead, he's an awsome guitarist.
AirForceJetFan 09-29-2006, 01:35 PM Buckethead is long gone thank god. Even if it's my favorite band...I do not want a gimmicky clown running around with a bucket on his head. Pathetic.
Anyway, for my very last Friday in the US before heading out to England, I'll be seeing GNR in Jacksonville. What a way to go out.
I saw them in Manhattan twice earlier this year and it was a great time. This should top those shows since they've been touring for a while now.

He at Mildenhall?
He at Mildenhall?
Is that London area?
I am not sure what base he is at... I just know he is a F-15 Mech out of Panama City.

Mildenhall and Lakenheath are the two big bases out there and I'm pretty sure Mildenhall has the fighters but I'm not 100% sure. I won't be at either one. I'm going to be at a tiny little base 90 minutes from London called Croughton.
To stay on topic...I plan on seeing GNR when they come back to the UK.
Barton 09-29-2006, 03:15 PM Guess what?
I think I am going to see them n a month at Germain Areana here in SWFL.
I just gotta tell a few lies here and there, gather up some money, and I'll be there. Cant wait. :p

I've seen them live six times with one cancellation and yes...that does suck. Best of luck to ya. I won't be a happy camper if they don't show in Jax.
vinnys025 09-29-2006, 03:54 PM Actually Rammstein is the biggest af base there I think. Also, Lake in Heath is nicknamed Lake in Grief cause it sucks so bad...so i'm told by my fellow Security Policemen. As for buckethead, you might not like his style, but he has a great talent, you cant deny him that.

Actually we were talking about the bases in England. As far as all of Europe goes, Ramstein is the biggest base. Mildenhall and Lakenheath are just down the road from one another and from what I saw in the short time I was there, it was a really nice area. With all of the trips available throughout Europe from those bases it wouldn't matter if it was in the middle of nowhere, it still offered plenty of opportunity.
As far as buckethead goes...he was good when I saw him but nothing that made him stand out IMO. That's not a knock on him. I just think that it's incredibly difficult for musicians nowadays to stand out becuase 99.99% of what you hear has already been done. IMO, the only guitarist I ever saw live that I could not belive my ears was the dude from rage/audioslave. The guy is incredible. Again, JMO and to each his own.
Barton 09-29-2006, 04:00 PM All I know is I better not see this bumblefoot guy completely f#ck up slash's solos! I've heard about this guy ron thal, how great he is techinically or whatever, but I seriously doubt he can write half as meaningful solos as Slash could while passed out drunk.
Cant wait till the album comes out!

Yeah, thats correct. I guess when your security forces, its doesent matter where you go cause your job usually sucks, thats why we party so hard when we're off duty...hehe.
dickkotite 09-29-2006, 09:37 PM id hardly consider this to be a gnr show. its just a fat bitter axl rose with some common replacements
minus well go see a good tribute band. at least they will show

Big IF is whether Axl decides his time would be better spent in another city watching a ball game on TV.
This isn't GNR I saw at MSG or at Giants Stadium with Metallica back in the early 1990s. It's the "Search for More Money for Axl" Tour. No Slash, no Duff(who doens't need the money at all since he invested quite wisely)If you want to get ripped off, buy tickets to this show.
kloogy 09-29-2006, 11:57 PM As much as I love GnR , no Slash means I don't want to see it.
Thor99 09-30-2006, 02:26 AM October 25th, already have tix.
Can't friggin' wait.
abyzmul 09-30-2006, 09:12 AM I thought Axl Rose was dead.
Barton 10-17-2006, 07:39 PM Next friday, Germain Area, I'm going!
Anybody got any tips or something? How early should I show up before the scheduled start of 7?
anything else would be helpful.
Mavrik 10-17-2006, 11:30 PM I hope they frickin dont cancel! lol.

Nothing says waste of money like spending 90 dollars on a band where only one original member remains and the group is absolutely nothing like it was in its heyday. That 90 dollars will be well spent when Axel walks out on teh concert 15 minutes into it.

Have you seen this new band play or are you talking out your a##?
Just checking. I bet you'll probably buy the album and like it.
DireJet38 10-17-2006, 11:45 PM Is Slash playing?
Nah, pointless.
