Word out there is that Hicks (he, who gave Padilla a 3 year 34 million dollar stupid contract :confused: ) is also after Zito. That means Omar will have to spend big to get him.

Boras is in no hurry to get Zito signed-the rumors of 100 million to sign him is something no team should do- wait them out.

You've got young talent but nothing that will win you a WS now, Mets arn't the Marlins. They don't get lucky like that.

Whoever signs Zito is taking a big risk. He's a former #1 who has looked more like a #3 for the better part of three seasons, and he's going to be looking for $100 million dollars. You would think Tom Hicks would have burned Scott Boras' phone number by now, or paid somebody $50 million to burn it for him.
