Don't like this trade for the Mets at all but I'm sure my buddy LL will tell me how amazing it is. Bannister is a young starting pitcher who did pitch well while healthy last seasn. Burgos is a young reliever with upside but I'm going to go with you need to stick with the young starters over the young relievers.

Bannister has very little upside. This is a no brainer for the mets.

Thank You.

124 You need to lighten up on the anti Mets agenda. Bannister is a number 5 SP maybe.....We traded that for a hard throwing 22 year old with closers experience.

Bannister was not going to be in the Mets Plans. They already have 4 young flame throwers. ( Ollie Perez, Phil Humber, John Maine, Pelfrey). Mets fans should have complete trust in what Omar is doing. He's one of the best out there.

Bannister would have been the 2007 version of Darren Oliver on the Mets, in KC he will be their #3 or #4 starter.
