Some nice shots of Jack Wilson running a couple out. And Alou and Wells going back to back in the 4th.

Other than the long balls he looks like he can be a very nice signing.

I didn't watch the whole thing but the hitters seemed to be off balance. He didn't seem to be throwing strange or changing speeds that much but the hitters are hacking at the ball. Weird.

From the little bit I watched I was impressed with his change-up. I know he was wild as hell in that game but if I'm not mistaken it was with a month layoff between games and he did well considering that he was pitching to US All-Stars.

So you don't have to look it up, multiply by .68085 to get mph. 130 = about 88.5mph

if that is correct, he topped out at 98!!

Yeah, and a lot of those pitches were in he 140-ish area, which is 95 or so.

Not bad. I can't wait to see him in our rotation. Three lefties should be enough to win in Yankee Stadium ;-)

My mistake, you multiply by .62137, don't know where i got that other number. Haha, got your hopes up. 89, 97, whats the difference. :p

Everything I have read on Igawa the past month or so, indicates that he tops out at 92. He seems to sit with his fastball in the 88-91 range. He throws the change and breaking stuff more often though. The fastball, for him, is best against right handed hitters, when he spots it inside. Then he comes with teh change that breeaks down and away, and fools the best of them.

He reminds me of Zito. Not the same motion, but the same style.

Of course, he will cost about 1/5, salary-wise, then Zito.;)

Reportedly signed a 5 year - $20 million deal late last night.
