• 1962: Jerry Stovall, a running back from LSU, is the Titans first pick of the 1963 AFL Draft.
• 1963: The Jets record their first shutout, a 17-0 win over the Kansas City Chiefs at the Polo Grounds.
• 1981: The Jets send four to the Pro Bowl. Marvin Powell goes for the third straight year, and he's joined as a starter by Joe Klecko and Mark Gastineau. Joe Fields rounds out the Jets representation. Richard Todd is voted MVP by his teammates.
