  • 1965: Heisman Trophy winner, John Huarte, signs a contract with the Jets. The contract is estimated to be around $200,000.
  • 1983: Freeman McNeil has the second best game in playoff history, rushng for 202 yards, while Darrol Ray sets a postseason record with a 98 yard interception return for a touchdown. The Jets upset the Bengals 44-17 for their first playoff win in 14 years.
