Erik Coleman was a safety for the New York Jets from 2004-2007.


Background and college

Born May 6, 1982 in Sacramento, California, Coleman attended Washington State, majoring in communications.

NFL Career

As a Jet

Coleman was taken with the eleventh pick of the fifth round (143rd overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft. While with the Jets, he started in 45 of 48 regular season games, with seven interceptions and two sacks.

After the Jets

On March 1, 2008, Coleman was signed by the Atlanta Falcons.
