JetNation Week Two Picks

By Nick Ferraro

Last Week:
5 – 10 vs. spread
7 – 8 straight up

Okay, that was terrible. That wasn’t the way we wanted to start the season, but hopefully the worst is over.

Raiders at Ravens (-13)
After the poor showing on Monday, it’s hard to imagine the Raider offense getting much done against what appears to be a revived Ravens defense.  Ravens 27 Raiders 6

Texans at Colts (-14)
Kubiak will struggle for a while trying to implement his old Broncos offense in Houston. Colts 30 Texans 14

Browns at Bengals (-10.5)
Every game Palmer makes it through healthy will improve his mental state and in turn his game.  Bengals 34 Browns 13

Bills at Dolphins (-7)
The Bills will let down after letting the Pats escape last week.  Miami had the extra time to get ready for this one. Dolphins 28 Bills 10

Lions at Bears (-9)
Two shutouts to start 2006 for the Bears? Bears 20 Detroit 3

Panthers (-2.5) at Vikings
There’s little to like about the Panther’s offense with Steve Smith on the sidelines.  Vikings 24 Panthers 14

Giants at Eagles (-3)
The Eagles are a difficult spot on the schedule again. Eagles 27 Giants 20

Buccaneers at Falcons (-6)
The Falcons may have been week one’s most impressive team.  Falcons 21 Buccaneers 7

Saints (-3) at Packers
The Packers get a late score to take it.  Packers 34 Saints 31

Rams (-3) at 49ers
The solid defensive performance in week will give the Rams a lot of confidence.
Rams 27 49ers 14

Cardinals at Seahawks (-7)
Alexander will find a lot more room to run this week. Seahawks 35 Cardinals 20

Patriots (-6.5) at Jets
This may be the toughest game on the board.  Neither team played how you expected in week one: the Jets looked too good; the Pats looked too bad.  Brady wins another close one. Patriots 23 Jets 21

Chiefs at Broncos (-11)
It’s hard to like the Chiefs after last week heading to Denver with their backup making the start.  Broncos 31 Chiefs 10

Redskins at Cowboys (-6)
Bledsoe might struggle again, but the Redskin offense definitely will.
Cowboys 24 Redskins 14

(Mon.) Steelers (-1.5) at Jaguars
I’m looking for Big Ben to start, and I still don’t believe in the Jag’s offense.
Steelers 20 Jaguars 7
