NFL Top Ten – Week Five

By Nick Ferraro

1. Indianapolis Colts
We’re five games into the season, and the Colts have a three-game lead in the division.

2. New York Giants
The Raiders are a poor excuse for a professional football team. The Saints will be a major test for Big Blue.

3. New Orleans Saints
There are no excuses this week with the Giants coming to town and an extra week to get ready for the visit.

4. Philadelphia Eagles
McNabb has more weapons than at any other time in his career. He only needs to stay healthy to take advantage of them.

5. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings look a lot like the Giants: good defense, big running game, and a passing attack that seems to discover new weapons each week.

6. Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons apparently spent their time wisely during the bye week. The 49ers were playing well before Sunday. The Falcons ended it early.

7. Chicago Bears
The Bears face a stiff test in Atlanta on Sunday night. The run defense needed to have figured some things out during the bye week. The Falcons run game will expose all the cracks.

8. Denver Broncos
The defensive turnaround has been miraculous in Denver. The new Orange Crush threw a second half bagel at Brady and company.

9. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals get their first look at the top-ten in Jetnation history. I had to add “Bengals” to my spell check. Not even Word could believe it.

10. Pittsburgh Steelers
It should easily be three wins in row for the Steelers with the Browns coming to town. Things are looking brighter for champs as their all-world safety should be back when the schedule gets tougher.
