NFL Week 7 Picks

Last week I went 8-6, which has me re-evaluating my schemes, something Mike Martz should consider in Chicago as well.  My year to date total is 49-41 which is not impressive, unless of course I was located in the AFC West.  Here are my picks for week 7.

Falcons over the Bengals- Atlanta plays very well at home, while the Bengals continue to be a mystery.  Another loss for Cincy could turn them into team turmoil.  Falcons 24-14

Steelers over the Dolphins- Many are predicting this game to be low scoring, but for some reason I can see some points being scored.  Taking  Big Ben over Henne in a shootout.  Steelers 31-27

Ravens over the Bills- This game is over before it even started.  Ravens 31-7

Chiefs over the Jaguars- The Chiefs are much improved and will be playing a team that could be starting Todd Bouman at quarterback. Todd who? Exactly.  Chiefs 21-3

Saints over the Browns- Browns rookie quarterback Colt McCoy gets thrown to the wolves again, and the result will be the same.  There is a chance Darren Sharper will return to action for the Saints, which will definitely improve the secondary play.  Saints 28-13

Redskins over the Bears- Donovan McNabb returns home, while Chicago offensive coordinator Mike Martz might soon be searching for a new one.  Redskins 24-17

49ers over the Panthers- Carolina is competing with the Bills for the #1 pick in the 2011 draft.  This could be an ugly game to watch.  49ers 20-10

Rams over the Buccaneers- The Rams continue to improve as they beat the Chargers last week.  The Bucs are starting to show some warts, so will take a shot with St. Louis.  Rams 21-20

Eagles over the Titans- The Titans quarterback situation is somewhat shaky as both Vince Young and Kerry Collins are banged up.  Will take the Eagles in a very close game.  Eagles 24-21

Seahawks over the Cardinals- Seattle is a tough place to play making things even tougher for  Arizona’s rookie quarterback Max Hall.  Seahawks 17-7

Chargers over the Patriots- The Chargers have to bounce back at some point right? I have zero confidence in Norv Turner, but just have a feeling about this game and of course enjoy rooting against the Patriots.  Chargers 27-21

Broncos over the Raiders- Oakland could be starting Kyle Boller at quarterback.  Enough said.  Broncos 28-6

Vikings over the Packers- Green  Bay is banged up and will be facing a Viking team desperate for a victory to get back into the division race.  As much as I hate to admit it, Favre tends to shine when he is facing some adversity.  Vikings 24-21

Giants over the Cowboys- Big Blue would love for nothing more than to put the final nail in the Cowboys season.  Let the firings begin in Dallas.  Giants 27-17

The New York Jets (5-1) are a on a bye this week and will take on the Green Bay Packers next Sunday at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

Enjoy week 7 everyone!
