Fantasy Football Free Agent Pickups

Hello Fantasy Football Fans!

Welcome to the 7th week of the season!  Each week, I will list the best free agent pickups of the week every Tuesday.   I build this list by looking at the many leagues I am in which range in participation from 10-14 teams so I will try and have pickup for every level.   Please start looking at your bye weeks and plan accordingly. There are a few guys listed last week that may be still out there;  Tebow, Battle,Hardesty, Carter, Baldwin, Floyd, D Brown, Bey .  Let’s get to this week’s list;

Average Size Leagues

  • Demarco Murray-With Jones out 2-4 weeks and not playing well when he was in there, it is now Murray’s chance to take the job and run.
  • Greg Little-He looks to be the Browns #1 WR and had a nice breakout last week.
  • Denario Alexander-He has been on this list before but with Lloyd coming on board it may open things up even more.
  • Kendell Hunter-He is getting 1/3rd of the carries and the impending Gore injury could be coming up soon.
  • Demaryious Thomas-With the trade of Lloyd he now moves to #2 WR and has the talent to show he can be #1.
  • Jared Cook-He looks to be the #1 target for Hasselbeck who has always favored his tight ends.
  • Carson Palmer-He played quite well the last 3 games of last year when they took Owens and Ocho-Cinco out of the mix.  The Raiders have nice weapons on the outside which could explode under Palmer.
  • Jerome Simpson-He finally broke out last week with a 100 yard game in the now high flying Bengals attack.
  • Maurice Morris-The inevitable Best concussion has occurred and he is next in line for the Lions.
  • Ronnie Brown-Now a Lion he will be part of the mix with Best being out.  More of a grab and stash,

Deep Leagues

  • Golden Tate-Here is a hunch he finally starts to show why he was drafted so high.
  • Michael Crabtree-He showed a little life last week and is healthy.
  • Tashard Choice-He now moves up to #2 and if Murray cannot handle the job, he has stepped in and produced in the past.
  • Greg Salas-He looked and performed just like Amendola last week, looks to be the slot receiver for the Rams.
