Wayne Hunter Misses Practice

New York Jets right tackle, Wayne Hunter, was excused from practice on Tuesday night.  The Jets held practice at MetLife stadium and Rex Ryan said Hunter was excused for personal reasons.  He expects Hunter to be back at practice tomorrow and Rex also indicated that Hunter will be with the first team on Sunday night against the Panthers.

Rex was asked to comment on the public scrutiny that Wayne Hunter is receiving right now and he said:

Well, I just think sometimes it is more difficult here, you know.  Obviously, I’ve had my share of it as well. It’s not easy.  But again, we support each other and that’s the way it will always be.

Austin Howard received all the first team snaps at practice on Tuesday.  Howard is 6’7″, 333lbs and is entering his 3rd year in the NFL.  It will be worth watching how many first-team snaps Howard gets on Sunday.
