TE Hayden Smith Promoted, WR Hill Released

Welcome to the show Hayden Smith. The Jets have announced today that they have promoted

former Australian rugby player turned tight end Hayden Smith to the active roster. In order to make this move, the Jets have released WR Jason Hill who in 3 games had 2 catches for 15 yards and a touchdown. Smith is currently listed as 6’6″, 255 pounds, so if he plays he will have an advantage over any DB the Dolphins can throw at him as he can catch the ball at least according to Dustin Keller:

“He is such a big target and he has as good as hands as anybody. He catches everything thrown his way. With more and more work, I’m excited to see what he develops into.”

This move was done thanks in part to the fact that the two tight ends that they worked out earlier in the week didn’t sign with the team.
