Jets Sign RB John Griffin

In what could be his last move as GM of the NY Jets, Mike Tannenbaum put RB John Griffin on the active roster.

The New York Jets have signed RB John Griffin to the active roster. The announcement was made by General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Griffin (5-11/208/Massachusetts/Westminster, MA) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Cincinnati (07/28/11), but was waived by the Bengals after the preseason (09/03/11). He joined the Jets as a reserve/future free agent (01/03/12) and was waived during training camp (08/08/12), before he was signed to New York’s practice squad (11/05/12). As a senior at Massachusetts, Griffin rushed for 843 yards and five touchdowns on 168 carries.

I started JetNation in 2005 and have been a New York Jets season ticket holder since graduating from high school. My dream is to see the New York Jets win the Super Bowl. Until then, I will be right here on JetNation writing, dreaming and talking NY Jets football.
