Jets Part Ways With Maneri, Sign LB Bryan Johnson

By Glenn Naughton

Currently short on linebackers, the New York Jets have parted ways with tight end Steve Maneri and replaced him with 6′ 3”, 260 lb outside linebacker Bryan Johnson.

A West Texas A&M product, Johnson is viewed as a strong side linebacker who tallied 16.5 tackles for loss and 8 sacks in 28 career collegiate games (10 starts).

The Bellport, NY native spent last season on the Bills’ practice squad.
