JetNation Learns Knife Skills With The New York Jets At ICE

JetNation showed off it’s carving skills at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) Monday night. The theme was “Knife Skills & The Whole Hog.” The expert chefs taught New York Jets fans how to properly cut a hog, slice vegetables, and of course, amazing recipes and techniques. Everyone got their hands dirty, including New York Jets linebacker Demario Davis, and cornerback Buster Skrine. As always, fans got to see another side of the pro athletes that recently out-played the New York Giants. JetNation overheard Skrine raving about Head Coach Todd Bowles, and how happy he is to be a Jet. (We also have autographed photos! Stay tuned for future contests!)

In the beginning there were passed hors-d’oeuvres including Homemade Rosemary Potato Chips with Charred Onion Dip and Roasted Butternut Squash Soup. Everyone was broken up into groups and cooked in separate kitchens. Just a few of the meals included Roast Pork Shoulder; Schnitzel; Mushroom and Sausage Tart Flambe; and Bourbon Glazed Bacon Beignets for dessert! The food was amazing, and JetNation always appreciates being invited to the festivities.

The next (and last class of the year) is Sunday, February 6th 2016. It will be held at MetLife Stadium. This event is larger than the normal classes hosted at ICE’s Manhattan location. There will be multiple stations where fans can cook next to Jets players and sample a variety of food. Participants leave with a gift bag, great knives from Wüsthof, and promotional items from Premio and Miller Lite.  JetNation encourages everyone to go! Learn how to cook, and talk to your favorite New York Jets players! It is definitely an event you will not forget!
