Ivory, Powell Miss Practice; Fitzpatrick Limited

The Jets were back on the practice field on Wednesday, preparing to take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Erin Henderson didn’t practice due to an undisclosed illness, Chris Ivory, Bilal Powell and Breno Giacomini also did not practice. Calvin Pace, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Muhammad Wilkerson were limited.

Head coach Todd Bowles gave these updates on those that missed practice.

Ivory has a sore knee and Powell and Breno had sore ankles.

Bowles said that Fitzpatrick was limited because of a sore thumb and body aches. He wasn’t worried about him for Sunday and indicated it isn’t anything serious. Here is how Fitzpatrick explained being listed as limited.

Yes, I didn’t participate in all the plays so I guess they had to put me on there, but nothing really to be concerned about.

On if Powell’s injury is new…
From the game ,it was new. Obviously he had a sore ankle. It wasn’t as sore as he thought it was, so it’s pretty sore now.

The following Buffalo Bills missed practice on Wednesday: RB LeSean McCoy (knee), G John Miller (ankle), S Bacarri Rambo (knee, shoulder).
