Jets cut Wide Receiver Joe Anderson

By Glenn Naughton

Per their official website, the New York Jets have released wide receiver Joe Anderson.

Anderson, a feel good story late last season, was picked up by the Jets after gaining notoriety for standing outside NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans, holding up a sign saying among other things, “will run routes 4 food”.  The humility Anderson displayed was a moving gesture that put fans in his corner in an instant.

However, it wasn’t meant to be as he was let go today, just one day before the team’s rookie mini-camp.
