Jets Extend Enunwa with 4-Year Contract

With the season coming to a close, ,the Jets took care of a major piece of business by re-signing wide receiver Quincy Enunwa to a four-year contract extension.

According to Eric Edholm of Pro Foootball Weekly is reporting that the deal is worth up to $36 million with a $20 million injury guarantee.

Enunwa has been plagued by inuries for much of the past two seasons but clearly has a good rapport with rookie quarterback Sam Darnold.

As a side note, it’s worth mentioning that firing Mike Maccagnan looks even less likely now that it did before, as ownership would be unlikely to have a GM handing out new contracts just a week before letting him go.  Barring the addition of a big name coach such as Jim Harbaugh, Maccagnan appears headed for a return in 2019.
