Gase says “Anything is Possible” Regarding Possible Leo Trade

A rumor that caught fire early yesterday came from an Adam Schefter tweet claiming that the Jets were fielding calls for defensive lineman Leonard Williams.

Today, Adam Gase did very little to put the rumors to bed, saying that “anything is possible” when asked about a potential deal.

In the final season of his rookie deal, Williams would be due to walk in free agency as a new contract with the Jets is unlikely.  Williams is a good player who was expected to be great.  For that reason he catches plenty of heat from Jets fans, but it seems some front offices around the league see what he can bring and might be willing to part with a draft pick or two to bolster their D-line.
