Significant Upgrades at Premium Positions Driving Jets High Hopes for 2023

Since being hired in 2019, Jets GM Joe Douglas has made some pretty significant upgrades up and down the roster, but most notably at the team’s premium positions.

Going from Sam Darnold

to Aaron Rodgers, Trumaine Johnson to Sauce Gardner and Jordan Jenkins to Carl Lawson, Jermaine Johnson and others are the reason why Gang Green has legitimate Super Bowl aspirations.  Of course a big part of this will be the health of a handful of key players.

The biggest question mark of course at this point is offensive tackle Mekhi Becton.  Having battled injuries and weight issues in recent years, there may be concerns about Becton, but his talent is undeniable.  With that being the case, look for Becton to work to make the Jets regret declining  his fifth-year option.

On this latest breakdown for JetNation.com, Glenn Naughton looks at Douglas’ huge upgrades and takes live questions from viewers.
