Rapoport: Connor McGovern has Dislocated Knee Cap

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that Jets center Connor McGovern has a dislocated knee cap.  McGovern left yesterday’s win against the Giants

early and was reportedly seen leaving MetLife Stadium in a cast.

Jets center Connor McGovern is week-to-week with a dislocated knee cap.

The Jets offensive linemen have been dropping like flies and McGovern was the first of two that they lost yesterday before Wes Schweitzer was taken off with a leg injury.

According to Rapoport, McGovern is considered week-to-week which means the Jets should be working to add some replacements on the interior.  One consideration should be Chiefs center Austin Reiter who has started 38 career games.

Semi-retired center Ben Jones is a player Gang Green should at least call to see where he is in terms of health.  The former pro bowler had plenty of injuries to recover from but has not ruled out the possibility of a return to the NFL once he’s ready.
