Jets Announce Team Awards; Quincy Williams Named MVP

With just one game left on the Jets schedule this Sunday against the Patriots, the team announced their in-house award winners for the year with linebacker Quincy Williams earning the Curis Martin award.  The award is  given to the team’s  MVP.  Williams enjoyed a career year in racking up 131 tackles (91 solo), and fifteen tackles for loss.  All career highs for Williams in a breakout season.

Because of all the work he put in as he attempted to return early from a ruptured achilles, quarterback Aaron Rodgers received the Dennis Byrd award, given to the team’s most inspirational player.

Veteran linebacker and defensive leader CJ Mosley eared the team’s selfless warrior award.

Rookie wide receiver Xavier Gipson picked up the Bill Hampton award as the rookie who most conducted himself like a pro.  Tyler Conklin was the recipient of the Kyle Clifton good guy award while Justin Hardee was recognized for his charitable efforts off the field with the Marty Lyons award.

Second-year running back Breece Hall, who returned from a season-ending torn ACL in 2022 earned the Ed Block award which goes to the team’s most courageous player.
